Knowing when you are going to step up and learning.......

Stepping up to me meaning taking responsibility and going that little bit further to do something that you want to do, therefore you are almost forcing yourself to do it if others are relying on you.

In this course I aim to step up before the second half of this course has started, so that I am taking on more responsibility in an area in which i'am considering going to work in.

I think that I know when i've learned something when I am able to use it again either unconsciously or on purpose. Like in this unit I have learned something things but in other cases I have not.

Questions??

The question is:
Am i working to full captivity?

Hard to say, other people say that i can do more if i put my mind to and at times i think i can do to. Others in my opinion i don't think i can do anymore.

What is making/helping me to work more?
I think because i like the classes and the others in my class that makes me want to stay in that i then focus more on the work. This means that i'm using self assessment, peer assessment, feedback and others equality to help me pass the course subjects.

Photo's!!!!

I have already started to take images for the powerpoint/ exhibition that are fairly good just need to get a few more and get them in to be edited.

More goals yay!!!!!

A few other goals that i hope to achieve over the Easter holidays are:

1. To improve my knowledge on how to work with the camera, e.g. levels, auto focus ect.
i can measure this by self assessment and also peer assessment this can also be a bit of practical work as i am working with the camera and taking photos.

Learning

Collaborative learning:
Learning with other people working as a group to learn something or to generate ideas, for example when out filming with my 5 minute horror short I learned more about how to work the Z5 camera that we were working with.

Peer assessment:
Is when other people that you would know and trust their opinion give you feedback on something wether its working or not, for example on the weekend one of my friends commented that wheat i was wearing was nice.

Self assessment:
Is when you decide for your self if something is working or not, for example during editing the music video i put and clip of video down then decided that it didn't work with the song in that place.

How these goals are coming along.......

From the feedback from both my Photography teacher and peer feedback and help, here is how these goals are coming along.

Goals:
1. After attending class on Monday we have been given the set dates for the photographs to have been taken. After doing research on other photographers and from friends they have given me some ideas as to what i want to take and ways in which they could be edited.

2. The feedback so far that i have gotten from my teacher is that what i have so far is good and that i could be on a pass or above.

3. I am hoping that the analysis of my photos are better as having been given feed back and going back and changing it making it better and more detailed.

So far i think that the way that i am learning so far has been through feedback given from both peers and my teacher.

Some specific goals and ways to measure

Here are some specific goals that i hope to learn in the next few weeks and ways to measure them are:

1. To get the new photographs for the powerpoint in and edited to a high standard.
I can measure this my the feedback back given my photography teacher.

2. To have gotten a good grade in my unit.
I can measure this when i have gotten by work back.

3. By making my analysis of photos better.
I can measure this in two ways by deciding if i have put in enough relevant information in it and by asking again for feedback.

One of the best ways discussed in class it decide one of the best ways to see if you have learn't something is to both ask someone (friends, teachers, relatives ect.) for feedback and to decide yourself if you have learn't something.

Goals

The goals that i hope to get are, that i will get a pass at least in this course subject. This blog is a way i hope to keep track of my progress. As in class an example was given that the more specific a goal is the  easier it is to measure and keep track of it. Were as the more vague a goal is the less likely you are to achieve it.

What this is about

In my reflective learning blog i will be giving posts about my Photography class and what i am learning in this class. I have picked this unit as i enjoy learning it.
